I want to change the oil on my 98 740I. Is their a special Oil tool needed to do this? An immediate answer will be greatly appreciated since I have to leave tomorrow for an emergency trip and cannot get to the dealer for service.

No special tool needed. I think the bolt is a 12 MM size. The only precaution I could give is to make sure you do not over tighten the bolt because it does strip very easily.
