Well, I wish you luck. A lot of people have wasted a lot of time trying to get inside the e38 top hi-fi (as it is known here in the UK). My understanding is that it is made by Philips; as far as I know there is no documentation available for the amp in the public domain. If you get anywhere though please do share your findings here - I've got this system in my 750il and I would love to be able to do something to it to make it sound half decent.

DOes anyone know who made the booster AMP for the E38 premium system. I read it has 14 channels of amplification one for each speaker I guess. I want to try to rebalance the system from the amp level controls, so I am actually seeking the manual for his amp, which I am sure BMW doesn't have or give out. Maybe the OEM would have one, so that's whi I am asking.
