It mainly depends on where you live. The nav. system has many metropolitan areas and big cities in detail. However, if you live out in the country or in a less populated area, then there is a good chance that the nav. system does not have your area covered in full detail. Also, if you travel a lot on long trips in your car it could be useful for finding hotels, rest stops, etc.
