Maintenance by the dealer is always expensive. Especially if you let them perform aditional work. Yes, a standard Inspection 2 costs about $800, if you had no additional service, and you paid more, you got ripped off!

I too bring it to the stealer for maintenance only to maintain the warranty. After the warranty period is over, I do it all myself. For instance, the brakes that our buddy below paid over $800 for, I would never let the dealer do. A brake job on a Bimmer is one of the easiest things anyone could do. It can be done in about a half hour!

Soon I will post some of these projects on my web site, BimmerNut.com. Right now most of my projects are on my 535i. I've only had to do the brake job thing on my 740i.


It kills !!! The service cost 1,550 bucks here and i'm goin in circles... was i ripped off ?
Does anyone know of this ïnspection II"thingie ?
And someone please tell me: how many KMS. should pass b4 this light shows b4 your eyes ?!!!
