I trust my bimmer to Jake Freedman at Freedman Tire and Auto. It's in Edison, NJ, Middlesex county; may be a bit far for you. He's great though, very very honest, and an auto enthusist (owned/owns BMWs, MB's, an old Ferrari, porsches....). He has worked on M5's (one of them a 450hp turbo E28 M5!) and various M3's. So he knows his stuff. I don't know about V12's though, but I imagine he has seen more exotic stuff. Ask for his him on the other forums, I'm sure they will mirror my comments. Oh, and ask him about his 500hp, 180+ mph RENNtech 500E. It's one sweet beast. I'm don't work for him, I'm not him, blah blah blah, but I am a very satisfied customer. Tell him Jack w/ the white 89 535 said hi.

Good luck,
Jack

HEY
Please help! I'm new to the BMW world and I'm looking for a reliable independent BMW shop with experience in the V-12. I'm in Ocean County, New Jersey.
My car is at the dealer right now for an "Insp II" plus $. Hopefully I won't be needing a mechanic for a while, but I won't count on that.
Also, any info on the BMW dealers in NJ would be helpful. The dealer I'm at seems o.k., but I haven't gotten the bill yet.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
LEO in NJ
