There's a continuous metal bulkhead with a serration around what would the ski hatch. This is so that the ski hatch can be retrofitted at a dealer (they basically just kick it out). The ski hatch fits in that area of the bulkhead that is exposed when the rear seat centre armrest is down. You can also use this opening to drive bass extension through from any subs you have located in the boot (like in my 750iL ...).

James.

...or is there only some metal braces? anyone had the rear seat out of your E38 and can tell me? How do I take out the rear seat?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Big-T
