If your production date is 5/97 or later (check the door jam drivers side) you need the CPT 6000 phone (portable) or CMT5000 permanently installed phone, if before that date the CMT 3000. The CPT 4500 does not integrate with the dashboard or the MID -also is not voice activated.

Wanted to know the standard phone for the 97 740s. The dealer gave me a cpt 4500 and I plugged it into the cradle but there is no indication on the dash board computer. Is there a code that needs to be programmed into the phone to access the computer? Also, anybody know if there is a manual for the 4500 online? thanks....
