It's not normal, but I have a feeling BMW might say it's within normal specifications.

How many miles on the engine? (possibly not broken in yet??)

Any sign of a leak? Even the tiniest leak would account for this much oil loss.

Any possibility you are overfilling it? If overfull, it might drop toward the normal level...
