On a 1993 740il 4.0 with the 3.3 dme control module. Are there any pin inputs for the dcm that would disable the output signal for the fuel injectors and the ignition coils. If any what are they.

Tommy thank you for your response. I hope this additional info. will help. I have 12v at the ignition coil and fuel injectors and the ignition coil has a good ground. New spark plugs and fuel delivery ok. My assumption is that the dme grounds the ignition coil and the injectors at the right interval. But I removed the ignition coil inserted the cheapest bosch plug and grounded the coil and the spark plug with aligator clamps, cranked the engine and no spark. I know of 2 pin inputs that will disable the engine the temp sensor and the drive away protection via on board computer. What else could disable the ignition coil.
