Jeff

I saw your quest for plastic floor mats. I too have a dirty little 5
year old boy who has to splash in the puddles just before climbing in
our 2000 740iL. Ok heres what I did. I had the "sand" interior. Although
the rear was soon dirt color. I steam cleaned it like new then bought a
one piece medium brown floor mat for a pickup truck at PEP Boys $23.00.
It fit so perfectly I couldnt believe it! I trimed 1/2 inch on each side
to make it sit down in the floor channel and 1 inch trimmed from the
front of the mat where it covers the center hump. Its as if BMW made it
if they lived in the real world of kids and rain. If you write me back I
will try and find the exact stock number from my reciept from PEP Boys.
The only exposed carpet in he entire rear floor is the side channel
where it meets up to the threshold.
