Help! driver side door won't open, manual or auto (archive)

Guys,

Perhaps i could pick your brains.. I have a 740i-1998 model, this morning i pick-up something left inside the car, unarmed the car, and thereafter re-armed after pulling my stuff out. Upon arming the car i noticed that the my car phone on my armrest was activated showing a "locked" read out. When i unarmed the car again (it did unarmed) but.... i can longer open my driver side door. I went inside using the other doors which were all operational. I also attempted to open the driver from the inside and using the manual keys to no avail. Does anybody have experience this sort of problem? Your help is greatly appreciated.. thx.
