I currently own a 94 740IL and have been very pleased by its' performance. I do, however, like the newer body style of the 740s'. I have a chance to purchase a 98 740IL with 86,000 on it for $25,900. It has all of the options including rear window shade, front sensors, ASC, etc.

Several questions:
-Is that a good price for a 740IL w/86,000 miles on it?
-Should I pay $2,300 for a 30,000 mile extended warranty?
-What should I look for when I look this car over one last time???
-Any other suggestions?

That sounds like a great price. I strongly reccoment the extended warranty. Make sure you take it to the dealer and thouroughly check it out to make sure it was not involved in any accidents or anything. You might also want to check its carfax record. Go for it! It's a superb car at a great price.
