Taking into account European model years, generally speaking the e23 is pre 1985/6, e32 is from then to 1995, e38 is from then to present day. The e65 is coming this fall. You could be either an e32 or e38, depending on the year. The breakpoint is 1994/5. . These are not nailed down specs. Others especially form across the pond know much more precisely. Go to www.racingdynamics.com. They have pictures showing both the e32 and e38 cars. Welcome to the board, there is great knowledge contained herein. You can search about 1 1/2 years worth of posts by going into the archive directory at the top of screen. There are specific directories for each board. Drive Hard

I am very new to BMW's and would like to know the difference between an E23, E32, & E38. I would like to post my questions on the correct Forum.
If I own a 740iL, which Forum should I post on?
Thank You,
Kirk Edmunds
