the exit feature of the seat, wheel, etc. memory for my 98 750il is not functioning. the individual memory buttons function. you must hold the button thill the positions are achieved. Had a modic scan at the dealer when I bought the car - was told by the tech that it was common that year and
that replacing the seat switch would supply updated software to enable the feature. I have installed the new switch and there is no change - other than I had to re-establish the seat, memory wheel postions etc. can anyone shed some light on this please. The dealers diagnosis/recomendation appears to have failed. Being a bit on the "portly" side. this feature would be a great improvement

I just bought my 98 750 and had the same problem. I went to the Stealer and they did upgrade the switch and the wheel goes up fine. It took them 15 minutes to install and off I went. Can't live without it. The problem is that the early model 98's did not have this feature Mfg before Jun... the later 98's were fine. I would be happy to give you the tech at my stealers name and number and you could make sure you got the right module...
