If your car has the self leveling suspension, the you should use PENTOSIN CHF 11S which is not power steering fluid but is actually hydraulic fluid the steering system shares with the hydraulic rear shock absorbers. You can tell if you have the self leveling suspension by looking for a metal hydraulic hose going into the rear shocks.

PENTOSIN CHF 11S should NOT be used in vehicles without self leveling suspension. My advise to you is to have your system flushed soon. CHF 11s should never be mixed with any other kind of fluid(s). The label says so. Clearly, your mechanic should have used ATF. When I asked my dealer about it a couple of weeks ago I was told that using the wrong fluid could damage the cables and hoses since the two systems use tubing with different properties.
