I own a 1997 7er. Thus far I haven't noticed any "problems" at all. What sort of issues are you encountering?? I am planning an extensive engine mod. for this motor & would welcome your comments before I begin.

If anyone has seen any continuing engine problems in a 740iL or similar engine (E38), drop me an email. I am doing some research into some problems I have had with a 1997 740iL and would be very interested in seeing if your problems (or ones that you have seen) are similar. I think I see a pattern developing, but I am still not sure.
