I recommend Michelin Pilot Sport tires. On my "summer" wheels I use 255/45/ZR18 on all 4 corners. On the "winter" setup I use Michelin Pilot XGT VR 255/50/VR17 tires on my BBS rims, again for all 4 corners. If you go to
"RTR-PCA.org/DriversEd/PoconoMay2000"
my car is pictured in the other car section, (Porsche site) #999 Black 7 at speed.

One final note, BMW has specified tires with a 27.4" height. I suggest you try and maintain that spec. with any tire you use, as a smaller height will affect your performance & gas mileage as well.

Good luck,
Simeon

Check the Tire Rack for available tires in the sizes you want.

Check out the Bridgestone RE 730s. My friend has them on his suspension modified Impala SS, and they are really something.
