Shortly after purchasing our '99 740iL, we purchased 17" Momo Sport wheels (look great on the car). I wanted to keep the same aspect ratio as the OEM tires, so my choices were limited. We settled on Nitto NT-450 Extreme Performance tires, 255/50R17, V rated. Tires look great and I am very happy with them, though they are a bit noisey. They have held up very well also, still looking new with 13,000 miles on them.


Hello E38 enthusiasts, I am a neophyte BMW owner who is very impressed with the depth of knowledge of the E38 message forum folks. After an extensive search, I purchased a '98 lease-returned 740iL 2 weeks ago. What an incredible machine! I have 1 questions for the experts. I need to buy tires. What tires would you recommend that I put on my 17" stock rims. About 90% of my driving is at 65+ mph commuting 60 miles round trip per day on the highways in Northern Califoria? (There is plenty of rain, but no snow)
