I test drove a CPO 98 iL today and the passenger seat squeeked (maybe it was just the salesman...)as we went down the road. The car has 45K miles on it. When I mentioned it, the salesman said that I wasnt buying a new car. I thought about this and left a voice message for him later referring to the fact that the car is still under the new car warranty. I havent heard from him but it seems to be that this should be covered as a warranty item.

most likely leather rubbing on plastic seat housing. If an application of lexol to the area doesn't do the trick, a little teflon gel lube will. Had same problem with my 540 and I swore it was a spring inside the seat, but nope.
