The car you test drove is an E32. Here, we all have E38s which are later models starting in mid '94.

That asking price seems a trifle high. Go over to the E32 board and ask.

BTW, there is no comparison between a 6 cylinder Benz 300E and a 7 series 12 cylinder BMW, no matter the years of either car. Would be like comparing a Meyer lemon with a Washington delicious apple. One isn't in the same ball park with the other.
