I am in the process right now of replacing the moldings and trim pieces myself. I just purchased my 98 from a private party who had actually painted all the moldings and trim pieces to match the car in addition to adding the Hamann Motorsport Body Molding and exhaust. He seemed to be looking to de-chrome and de-trim the car. I did not like the look so I have ordered all the parts to replace except for the window chrome molding. I will see how it looks after replacing the rest of the pieces.

I have removed all the pieces (except for window trim). It is very easy and took me about 1/2 hour for all of them. The chrome bumber pieces snap into the black bumper molding. These black moldings then snap into the bumper. A tug upwards on the underside of the black molding in the right place will release the tabs and the molding will pop right out and then you can take the chrome pieces out as well. Having the replacement parts make it real easy to tell where the tabs are. The side panel molding also pop right out with a little pressure to release the tabs.

Good Luck
DJ

Anyone done the replacement of these pieces? I'm thinking of the moldings on the bumpers and sides, and the trim around the windows. Is it hard to replace them? Any specialized tools needed? My car is a 95' and i'd like to give it the look of the Sport version.

As always, any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Big-T
