In my search for my 740IL I ended up going to several serious auctions and talking to various dealers. In every case I saw that ANYTHING at all that is not "factory original" is a deduct. A few that had just had a fender replaced lost 2-4K at auction. If you add this to the cost of painting the car (never mind that you would always have the original color somewhere) you could be in for a 5-6K hit. That's a bout what you would be in for if you sell yours a buy a black one (factory black is probably the most commmon color to find anyway)

PS: about the "total change in color" just walk around your car, then sit in it and look for sheet metal. Now start adding up the labor to disassemble, mask, then reassemble all this (no way they'd be doing it for 2,850 at a dealer)

Ok guys, I need REAL help here...puhleaseeee !

I'm kinda confused and i wanna take a decision now that i've been thinking for a whole month now...

My car's alpina-white... and I simply wanna turn it full-BLACK. (all of it). The stealer would charge me $2,850.
Absolutely none of my friends agreed with me on this issue, and I'm goin nuts... i dunno why... they say that its kinda risky when it comes to selling the car... & that any buyer would hesitate on the merchandise thinking that some sort of theft operation would have been conducted by changing the identity of the car... IS THAT BULLSHIT ? or does it make sense ???

I REALLY wanna change the color.. white is just not me...

would the stealer be able to chagne the color like it's brand new BLACK ? most importantly, would it be ever recognizable after the paint job ???

ALL opinions welcomed guys !

tanksss.
