Put it in "M" and shift it yourself.

When the lever is in "D" the trans will always upshift early, especially at minimum throttle. Use "4" and notice how much further the tachometer goes before an upshift occurs even when under the same minimum throttle condition.

If you don't care about revving the engine or fuel economy, run it in "4."
