Hi all,
The way I see it, itīs easier to change the whole lot. Once you change the headlight, thereīs a big ugly space right underneath the unit. You could slide the old cover in, but it will rub and cut against the lower edges of your new headlights.
The old markers, too, wouldnt go with the new-style headlights. Once again, there would be
a space left between the marker and the outer shape of the headlight. Also, the markers are
attached to the headlight unit, and the size of the connecting pieces is different.
I dont actually understand the question - the most expensive part in this whole project is the headlight unit. Do u honestly spend about 600 bucks on new headlights and then dont spend $20 on the covers that make it look neat ?
Same goes for the markers, although I agree that this fender issue is awkward. Still, its better to get the fenders fixed, too instead of buying new ones.
Iīll try and post pictures to demonstrate what the new style headlights and the old indicators look like together.
Cheers,
Rob
