I doubt you can do a valve job in the US for anywhere near $300.

Tell me please. I'll go cross country for a price like that. My Stealer just charged me that much to replace the cooling fan.... Theoretically a 20 minute job and $40 part


I just wanted to add that If your car has done quite a lotta miles buy now, it's very common with a valve-cleaning job. my s500 merc. does that a lot these days. and hey, im sorry if this is gonna wake u up :-) but valve jobs for the E38 is kinda $$$. $250 ? $300 ? not really sure... just heard that.
