That's too bad. I always thought one could do it himself/herself. Someone did post it on this website once. :(

You can have each key individually coded for items such as automatic door locking, daytime running lights, and seat/mirror/HVAC/audio presets. However, the dealer must program this for you.

Well, I'm not sure how I should phrase my question. :) I just recall a post regarding how to change certain parameters that force the computer to do certain things. I think there are about 9 different configurations or something. And I recall one of them having to allow the owner the ability to enable or disable the car from automatically locking the doors when in motion. There was also another option to change how the car unlocks on the first push of the remote button on the key. That's all I can recall. Maybe you can throw out some ideas as to what you think I'm referring to, perhaps? All help would be appreciated. Thanks.

First of all, congrats on your new 7, and welcome!

Try to rephrase your questions and split them up. It's a bit unclear what you're asking for.

I just wanted to say that I just purchased a BMW 740i Sport. If I had a choice of only one word to use to describe the car, it'd have to be, "SWEET!"

So anyhow, I recall reading some post in here on how to change certain codes on how the car behaves. Like, what the buttons on the car key do what. Or how to enable/disable the automatic locking of the car when it starts to drive. Anyone?
