When mine was not performing properly, I discovered that I COULD lock the car by manually pushing down all buttons from either rear door, and closing the rear door, and the vehicle was then locked, but WITHOUT the alarm being activated.

When using the key fob buttons, I believe the alarm is always engaged.

The problem you are having may have nothing to do with the motion sensor. Mine turned out to be a bad sensor in the rear quarter window, and only cost the selling dealer $500 + to repair.

Sometimes it would go off in a few minutes, and other times, it would not sound off for several hours, even when secured in a locked and quiet garage where there were no disturbing conditions.

Please let us know what the problem was when it is repaired?

Good luck.

DHG
