Thanx guys.

I'll use your suggestions and get back to board on problem once I get car in for warranty work in the next few weeks.

Appreciate this boards help!!!

I recently purchased a '98 740i that I have driven sparingly. A couple of times when I have driven the car to a location where vehicle sat for longer then an hour, I arrived with the alarm going off or someone in the area has told me "your car alarm is going off". I thought maybe the wind had set it off, but tonite I locked car in my garage and after a half hour or so, the alarm goes off. Car has no additional electrical items to draw on vehicle battery as well.

While my car is under warranty and I will have stealer look into problem, but I have to go out of town tomorrow for two nights leaving my car in motel parking lots. My question: Is there a way to lock vehicle and not set alarm???? I have looked in owners manual and can't tell if there is a way to do this or not. I really don't want to be notified every hour by motel personnel that my car alarm is going off, especially at 4am!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx,

mark
