Search the archives, this topic has been up before, and some suggestions have come up.

After I replaced the radiator and gave her a fresh change of synthetic yesterday, the battery goes today. Can you believe it? I just can give her enough tender loving care lately. Does anyone have any good sources of batteries outside of the dealers? For you DIYers. A good test for a battery is hook it up to a low amp charger (10 amp or less) and watch all of the cells bubble with the caps off. Make sure you have enough water in the cell also. If a cell does not bubble you have a cell. Time to get a new battery. This has always worked for me. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T CAUSE ANY SPARKS AROUND THE BATTERY. THE BUBBLES ARE HYDROGEN GAS AND IT WILL EXPLOSE AND RUIN YOUR DAY.
