I really love my 95 740 and well understand why you would consider the change, but I wouldn't go to an older car with higher mileage than your present one.

Why not hold onto the 528 for a while longer, and wait for a prime, low mileage 740? I'd at least hold out for one of the same age and mileage as your present car.

One exception to the above might be if the 740 you are looking at had a recent engine block change...you'd effectively be getting a brand new motor.
