My choice would be Michelin Pilot Sport. I run my car at the track @ 4 times a year and have found the Michelins to exceed the capabilities of the Dinan Stage 1 Suspension. While the Bridgestones may outperform the Michelins, the Michelins will wear longer on the street, where 99% of the use takes place. More subjectively, when I purchased my last set of tires, I questioned the installer as to which brand of tire requires LESS balance weights. He responded immediately and without hesitation..."Michelin".

My car is in need of new tires and I'm looking for some input.

My tire size is 255/45/18 on 18" x 8.5" wheels. I've been told by someone at tirerack.com that Michelin Pilot Sports are the way to go, but their own comparison shows the Bridgestone Potenza S-02 Pole Positions rated higher.

I've seen a few posts by some of you talking up the Michelin's. Is this the way to go? I want the best all-around tire, including best quality -- especially for trueness, etc. to get a good balance with minimal weights.

Thanks as always for everyones input.
