I had always changed at 5K miles max with other cars. I was up to 8K miles (3 months driving) and still showing decent oil on the stick and lots of lights.The stealer said don't bother to change until the car tells me to do so. I thought to myself, NFW, change it!!! I did. You should never go past 5K miles in my opinion. It's cheap insurance...

advise me please...i checked my engine oil, today and the level is acceptable but it appears quite dirty...the green lights on my dash are still at 4 abreast when i start the car...how much credence do these lights deserve?...
