Small problem with CPT7000 Digital Phone (archive)

I have been using a CPT7000 Digital Phone in my 1999 740i Sport with the built in BMW kit since March/2000 and have been very happy with it. I have run into some problems the past few days and would appreciate any insight anyone could give me.

Sometimes when I hit a bump, the dash display shows the last number that I dialed and the cellphone beeps like it turned itself back on. Also, yesterday I had a problem where the battery ran low even though I was on the highway for almost 3 hours (and only about 25 minutes of the time was spent on the phone).

Any ideas/insight?
