Phone options for 2001 740i? (archive)

Hey Everyone,
I'm currently using CPT 8000 phone with no problems. I find this Motorola model a bit dated and was hoping to replace it with the Motorola V.8162 Does anyone know the limitations/possibilities of interchanging Motorola phones with the stock BMW setup?
