The idle control valve is located under the acoustic engine cover that covers the center of the engine. You will need to take that cover off and then take the air filter cover off to unhook some of the hoses. It looks similar to the old style idle control valves on earlier BMWs. Hope that helps.

97 740iL

Can anyone please tell me if a '97 740iL has an idle control valve or for that matter anything mechanical that might stick and cause the car to shake at idle. My car has a bad shake at idle in drive with the AC on. Thanks for your help.
