Faulty head light housing ??? Help please (archive)

The low beam headlight bulb blew, (drivers side [righthand in my case]) so I opened the headlight enclosure to replace it. When I touched the bulb holder to unclip the light it swayed freely in and out. That is the low beam light moved backward and forward as did the high beam (but obviously in different directions at once. It just flops around.

Is this normal. It looks like they are supposted to move as their is a small track beside the high beam light. But completely freely ???

I know they move up and down with the 0,1 and 2 setting on the dash used for the number of pepople in the back and this one does that ok.

Any one have any ideas ??? It would be a real crapper if I had to replace the housing.
