I'm just coming into the ways of 740dom and so, at the risk of asking something that may be common knowledge among you folks, here goes. . . My 1996 740 iL has badly pitted/etched and generally "foggy" headlight covers. Is this common? What is the cure? Can you replace just the glass covers or is it an entire housing affair that costs a bunch?

Also, the rear window power shade screen isn't functioning well. It works maybe every 10th time you hit the button and seems to run out of steam before fully extended (insert joke here as you see fit). Any quick cure?

Finally, any shop manual recommendations?
