Break-in Period - Too Late Now ? (archive)

My new '01 sport has about 400 miles on it. Manual says to not exceed 4500rpm or 105 mph for first 1200 miles.

Oops. I've exceeded the former a couple of times now. Should I pay closer attention to this guideline ?
