Will 750 3.15 differential fit into a 95 540i6? (archive)

The place that I purchased a 3.15 rear diff just informed me that they thought that it came from a 94 530iA but discovered that it came from a 750i (not sure what year). Will this swap in without any modification? What year 750 has the 3.15 diff needed.
