Had the same problem with my '97 528i... (archive)

used to go off sitting in my locked garage. Had to have the motion sensor replaced. Guess this is common.

I experience that the alarm goes off sometimes without anybody getting close to the car. This will occur several times a day, but the alarm might be working okay sometimes.

Do you guys experienced the same problem before? Is there any solutions?
