I've tried many different glazes and polishes and believe that 3M Imperial Hand Glaze is the best for light scrathes on the wood trim and paint as well. You'll be suprised how many scrathes will disapear and how smooth the finish will feel. Do the shift knob as well. Finish with a coat of quality wax (I prefer Blitz).

It's best to pull the wood trim out of the center console so you can realy rub to get the deeper scraches. If you can feel the scratch with your finger nail, its too deep for any polish, settle for hiding some of it with the 3M Imperial Glaze. Pulling the wood out of the car will also eliminate getting the glaze or wax in the gaps between swithes and the wood or staining the leather nearby. The shift knob pulls off with a good yank straight up, no tools required.

Good luck.

Hi folks,

Any ideas how to remove light scratches on center console wood grains? I saw previous posts with using 3M polish, but I'm wondering how it works? Or is there any other better options.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
