Hi,
Just stopped over because Dads 94 740i is flashing a warning on the dash board saying "Brake Fluid Low" Checked the fluid and it reads exactly on the minimum level. I thought it should still read OK and not flash a warning, but decided it wouldn't hurt to add some brake fluid to the Maximum filler line. Perhaps the warning will go away?

If not, then I'm thinking it could be the sensor gone bad on the top of the filler reservoir? So, thought I would try filling it up to max before doing anything else to see what happens.

Just wanted to know the proper fluid to use. It says on the lid of the filler reservoir to use Dot 4. However, does that mean any kind of Dot 4 ? or a specific kind for BMW only. Thanks, appreciate any info or help. Oh, we would also like to replace the front and rear pads, do you guys find that Mintex are the best for causing very little Dust? Thanks, Kdg
