Shawn, I put one in my wife's '97 540iA several months ago. She has the DSP sound system (which appears to be identical to the 7er cars) and it made HUGE difference in our listening enjoyment. The kit is custom wired to the model car, takes about 15 mins to put in the first time (you'll be able to take it out and put it back in within minutes after the first time) its light-weight, pretty compact, and generates amazing bass for the units size and price. Overall, I highly recommend this product. We ordered the kit back in February and it took about a week to get out to us. Good luck!
