The study was published in car and Driver, in a July, August or September issue (can't remember which one). He tested several cars with reflective windshields and whether radar signals could go through the film used to cut down on UV, etc. My recollection is that the BMW 740 tested reflected 75% of the incoming radar signal!! If you use a radar detector, go through the openings around the mirror or over the dash in the center, or use a remote unit. The Valentine V1 may not shoot through the back window however, if the reflective film is there as well.
