I need to mention I have no Nav or Phone.
And I don't care about preserving the DSP, it's terrible anyway.
In any case, I have decided to rip the amp out of there and replace it. I will also probably do the same to the DSP/Cassette gear to make room for a new head unit.
As for volume/selector controls, that's the sticky bit since I want to preserve the steering wheel controls. Film at eleven. (I'd like to get my hands on the schematic for the Sony custom voltage splitter used in Max's car.)
Thanks again.
DSP amp communicates with everything using digital coaxial cables. Your NAV/PHONE/CD CHANGER/TUNER all hook up in this fashion. If you pull the amp or try to bypass it, you will need to unhook it completely, disabling the dsp system, causing it to then use the nondsp wiring on the tuner, which you can then tap into, but then must run new wiring for the nav/changer/phone to communicate to the tuner properly using analog signal cables. Thats why I said talk to JIM W, he has done this. He also has mapped out the frequencies that each speaker is set to output.
