Installed the Alpine CDA7845w/CHA1214 and used the 4volt rca pre out sub channel to control a bazzoka 10" self amplified sub mounted to the left side of the trunk, with the decks internal crossover this sounds better.
The next step is to yank it all out and install 4 alpine 407 (hp/bp/LP crossovers built in)amps, tweeters ft/rr, alpine 2" speakers in the dash and rear deck, and a center channel 2", 5.25" ft/rr, one dual voice coil 12" in the rear of the trunk, controlled by Alpine CVA1003/w Nav, and a PXAH510 5.1 proccessor, rear passengers ( the kids ) get Audiovox 5 disc DVD changer, Sony PS2,headphones (two channel) and headrest monitors wired all with monster cable. and this actually costs less than the system the wife has in her Durango already!
should sound great!and with all the new DVD music video discs out there, software available. The 5.1 is the difference between watching a movie in stereo or 5.1 digital, and really makes a huge difference in a car. Want one too? visit a Circuit City Roadshop.
