So the motoring press throughout the world, from here in the UK down to Australasia, making less than positive noises ("grim face and a pair of sagging cheeks") doesn't dampen your spirits?
People said the Ford Scorpio was "a good looking car", right up to the point nobody bought it...
Better Handling - Its a BMW, plus it has Active Dampening
You've certainly not driven the new 740i, so can't possibly comment on how it handles.
Lighter - Aluminum used
The Audi A8 is lighter still. Doesn't mean it's an intrisically better car, nor that Audi are going to sell any more of the dang things...
More advanced computer system
Clutching at straws.
CD Changer IN DASH
Clutching at straws.
No Manual Emergency Brake, now ElectroMagnetic
42v system (future battery voltage for all cars)
Key Card instead of a key, push start button
42V is the future battery voltage for all cars? Where on god's earth did you read that?
Did I mention better looking?!?!?!!?
People buy cars not because they have "advanced computer systems" or electronically controlled butt wipers but because the car as a whole makes their heart sing. Folks spending upwards of $100,000 want a chunk of metal that really looks the part. And if you think the new 7er symbolises anything but mediocrity -- the face it has looks plainly unhappy, for heaven's sake -- then you're clearly a clown short of a circus.
There are countless bland, "nothing" cars on the market right now, each with sophisticated electronics and aluminium components same as on the new Seven, but they too are consigned to the list of also-rans because they lack that good old-fashioned "WANT ONE!" factor :)
