My New 740i Sport (archive)

After reading this board for 2 weeks, I decided to get a 2001 740i Sport, instead of waiting for my 530i Sport to arrive. Sure enough, I got a very good deal! Thanks all who posted the discount info. previously. Internet really rules. :-)

I have two questions:

1. The suspension feels very soft, even it has M-tuned sport suspension and 18" tires. Its body leans too much on corners and it dives when I apply brakes. I increased the tire pressure to 38 psi front and 44 psi rear, and it feels a bit better. I probably don't want to modify the suspension at this time. Is increasing the tire pressure the only way I can do to make the car feel firmer? If yes, what tire pressure do you recommend?

2. Its hand-free car phone is very nice. I used a Motorola StarTac phone before. I got a "TrueSync" software that can download the StarTac settings and directory to my PC. Then I uploaded the data to this BMW-Motorola Timeport phone, and everything works the same as before. Very nice! It also downloaded the directory to 740i's on-board computer and so I can dial out the stored numbers using the on-board computer. However, when I try to retrieve my voice mail at work, I cannot enter digits after listening to the first voice mail message. For example, enter "1" to save the mesasge, "3" to erase, etc. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

David
