becasue it illustrated what they have done. After you do this, search this forum (E39 too)for mesages about the DSP HI-FI connector pinouts. Once you have the pinouts for the connectors on the amp in the trunk, you too could make this interface. There is no majic to what Bavarian did, its just that they made it easy for anyone to pull out one plug and place their interface in between it and the amp. If you are at all capable with wiring and reading cable diagrams, then you could do this. If not, any auto sound shop could install this for a lot less than the price difference in bavarian's price and what you can find on other discount sites.
