The E65 is not as immediately appealing as the E38 was, but it's all a matter of taste. Some like it and others don't.
We can express our opinions, but I think all of us should quit bashing eachother for what we think of the E65.
I wonder though, who is the more shallow person...the ones expressing their opinions whether they can afford it or not, or the one making fun of the ones who can't afford one.
With your permission, I will continue to dream about and/or evaluate cars I cannot afford - as I have for 25 years or so since I first started looking at cars at the age of 8. For me, owning this car is an almost religious experience (the only religion I have...), even if the car shows its age in little imperfections here and there. AS far as I'm concerned, I have my dream car now, but comments like this can take the fun out it. Perhaps you prefer I hang my head in shame for not being able to afford a new one...
My two or so cents ;)
(sorry about the long post)
All of you out there who are unfairly snubbing the brilliant new E65 7-series are just incredibly shallow and are just posing for the fact that you cannot afford the new E65. You probably all picked up USED E38's and actually love the E65 but know you cannot afford it. Thus you find it necessary to bash the E65. Too bad that you will be the idiots on the road when the rest of us are driving the E65 which will beat your E38 in every way shape and form. Too bad for you!!! Have fun...
